The following is a list of the scholarships and awards that may be offered to graduating students from Carberry Collegiate at the Graduation Ceremony 2011:

 

 

Legion Ladies Auxillary Scholarship $100.00 - presented to a graduate child or grandchild of a veteran or Legion Ladies Auxiliary member who is continuing his/her education.

 

Jenny Graham Bursary $100.00 - presented to a graduate who has worked with young people in a volunteer capacity and whose career plans include working with young people.

 

Eastern Star Most Improved Award $200.00 - presented by the Eastern Star to the member of the graduating class who has shown the most improvement during the academic year.

 

CC Spirit Award/Westoba Credit Union $500.00 - presented by the CC Staff to a member of the graduating class displaying school spirit & leadership with a minimum of a 70% average.

 

The Carberry Nurses Union Local #11 Bursaries  $500.00 - presented to a graduating student who is pursuing their education in the nursing field
 

BPTA 4 @ $250.00 & 1 @ $300.00 - presented by the BPTA to graduating students furthering their education in the areas of Business Education, Industrial Arts, Physical Education, Arts, & Teacher Education.

 

Masonic Scholarship $400.00 - presented to a deserving graduating student who is continuing his/her education. This student is not to receive any other scholarship given by C.C.

 

De Winton I.O.D.E. Scholarship $500.00 - presented to a graduating student entering a one or two year vocational program.

 
Chown Centennial Scholarship $500.00 - presented to the best "all-around" graduating student attending the University of Manitoba, with a minimum 85% academic average.
 

FarmLink Marketing Solutions Scholarship $500.00 - presented to a student pursuing a post-secondary education in Agriculture.
 

The Westman Communication Group $500.00 - presented to a student who has demonstrated proven academic capabilities, and has participated in community and school activities and shows an interest in a career in the technology field.

 

The CC Pat Lupton Memorial Citizenship /Carberry BPO Elk’s Lodge Scholarship $500.00 -  presented to a graduate who displays community and school involvement and is proceeding to post-secondary education. 


The Jack Lupton Memorial Scholarship $1000.00 - presented to a graduate who will be pursuing their education in the field of journalism or sports.

 

The Mrs. A.K. & Inspector Butcher Scholarship 2 X $1033.00 - resulted from a generous donation to Beautiful Plains School Division by the late Inspector Butcher.  He strongly believed in the education system.  It was his wish to offer a scholarship to students who displays a clear perception of what they wish to do and is continuing their education in a university or community college.

 

Mae Hill Memorial Scholarships 2 @ $1500.00 - Mae Hill enjoyed working with young people particularly in the field of music.  These scholarships are presented to students who intend to further their education in a post-secondary institution.


The Rylin Buck Memorial Education Assistance Award $1500.00 - is a one-time only award for the purpose of assisting a local student who is a top math students graduating in 2011 who faces extra costs related to post education.

 

The T. Roy & Edith Bailey Memorial Scholarship $2000.00 - is presented to a graduate who has displayed exemplary attributes of citizenship, leadership and scholarship and intends to pursue education in the fields of theology, health care, education, agriculture or music.

 

The CC Staff / Carberry & Area Community Foundation Award $1000.00 - was established by the staff to recognize exemplary performance throughout his or her High School years. 

 

Applied Arts, Trades and Technology Award $1000.00 - awarded to an individual who will be pursuing their education in the fields of applied arts, trades or technology at a recognized training facility other than a university

 

The CC Medal / Carberry & Area Community Foundation Scholarship $2500.00 -  is presented to the best all round student in the graduating class.

 

The Governor General’s Medal / Carberry & Area Community FoundationScholarship $2500.00 - is provided by the Governor General to be awarded to the graduate with the highest academic standing based on grade 11 & 12 final marks. The scholarship is available to recipients who are continuing in a post-secondary program
