Feb. 10: Grade 5 & 6 Curling Bonspiel Feb. 12: Travel Club Valentine's Dinner News: Safer Internet Day: On February 7, 2012, Safer Internet Day, countries around the world will be promoting safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially among children and young people. In Canada, the Canadian Centre for Child Protection www.protectchildren.ca has created a unique, one-stop Internet safety website – The Door that’s Not Locked - www.thedoorthatsnotlocked.ca – to help parents, teachers and anyone else with children in their lives learn about ways to keep kids safe on the Internet. There is also a mobile safety website mobility.protectchildren.ca with some helpful tips. Check out these sites for some valuable information.

Greece Travel Club/French Club Fund Raisers Valentine's Dinner Fund Raiser: The Greece Travel Club will host a Valentine's Dinner on Sunday, February 12 @ 5:00 in the Carberry Community Memorial Hall. Tickets are available from any travel club member, or contact the school office for further information. Tickets: $12.50 Surprise your "sweet heart" with dinner out! French Club Canadian Tire Money: We are currently accepting donations of Canadian Tire money in the office. Proceeds will be raffled off prior to the Quebec trip, scheduled for May 2013. All donations are graciously accepted!
NOTICE TO PARENTS Possible Bus Route Disruption The Beautiful Plains School Division is having difficulty recruiting spare and regular school bus drivers. As a result, the Division is informing parents of transported students that there may be occasions when regular bus routes will not operate. Thus, parents will have the responsibility to transport their children to school. Parents will be contacted as early as possible if this occurs. Be assured, the Division will do its utmost to limit these occurrences. The Division is planning a bus driver training course so anyone interested can contact the School Bus Garage.
